After unlocking the door, many traditional electronic locks of other brands will have their latch bolt relocked five to ten seconds later. During this period, intruders can open the door by pressing the handle, which is a security risk. The handle of the Aqara Smart Door Lock A100 returns to the free state immediately after being pressed down. The latch bolt will be locked automatically when the system detects a closed door, preventing intruder unlocking and tailing effectively.

Inside the door, the double-lock can be disabled with the knob.
